Bode North America, Inc, a subsidiary of Gebr. Bode Gmbh and Co. KG, Germany, has

completed another major element in its long-term strategy to become a prominent Door

Systems supplier to the North American Bus and Mass Transit markets.

Effective today Mr. Thomas Head will take over as new President. Mr. Head has over 25

years’ experience in the North American Freight, Transit, and MOW fields, most recently

holding the position of Director of Engineering and R&D with Amsted Rail-Faiveley.

Mr. Alexander Bode, formerly CEO of Bode North America, Inc., will focus his

attentions on the bottom-line challenges of productivity, efficiency, and continuous

improvement in the position of Vice President. Mr. Bode will prepare the Custom and

Mass Transit activities’ operations and manufacturing for immediate expansion while

improving the already exceptional level of service, product quality and value currently

received by our customers.

For the past 50 years the name Bode has gained global recognition for custom-built

Transit door systems. Bode North America, Inc. prides itself in its strong history and

tradition of custom built door systems to creatively serve a quality consciousness, highly

specialized market. Bode North America, Inc started production in 1981 at 660 John

Dodd Road, Spartanburg, SC with a productive area of 25,000 square foot, was expanded

in 1985 and today the offices and manufacturing are operated from a 50,000 square foot

facility, with potential for further expansion.
